Opening Day Local Fresh Produce at the Market

Bedding plants, turnips & turnip greens, mustard greens, strawberries, radish, lettuce, Pak Choi, tomatoes (greenhouse), squash (greenhouse), zucchini (greenhouse), beets, Swiss chard, cucumbers.
In addition, you will find the finest in local honey, eggs, beef, lamb, rabbit, herbs, flounder, jams & Jellies, baked goods and arts and crafts.
Live music from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
2012 Farmers Market Season Opens Saturday, April 14th
Posted by: | CommentsThe Onslow County Farmers Market located at 4024 Highway 258 will open its new season Saturday, April t4th at 8:30 am to 1:30 pm and will remain open Tuesday & Saturdays through November 3rd.
Watch for our coming list of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other eatable goods available on opening day along with yard plants and arts & crafts. Live music every Saturday 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Our 1108 Western Blvd Market (behind Dicks Sporting Goods) will open Thursday, April 19th 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm and will remain open on Thursdays through the month of October.
Learning to Grow a Garden

Beginning Friday February 10th, 2012 the Onslow County Farmers Market and the Cooperative Extension office will began its sixth year of teaching it’s 20 week long Horticulture, Entrepreneur, Leadership, Program, (H.E.L.P.) for adults wanting to learn how to grow their own garden. The class will meet from 5:00 to 7:00 pm every Friday night at the County Extension office 4024 Richlands Highway, through the end of June giving you the opportunity to learn how to plan your garden, prepare the soil, plant, fertilize, irrigate, pest control, and harvest your own food. Participants also have the opportunity to bring home what they have planted. Cost is $50.00.
